The Bulgarian artist Vasil Goranov was born in the city of Velingrad. The future brush master won his first drawing competition when he was only 4 years old. But this should not surprise anyone - his talent is a legacy from his father. Vasil Goranov's paintings are made in oil technique, on them you can see Viennese balls, ship battles and gladiatorial battles, scenes from Bulgarian history, sights of Bulgarian and European cities and stories related to old Bulgarian life. Vasil Goranov brilliantly combines historical romanticism with realism and insightful psychologism.
