In 2006, four coins of the Poets of the Silver Age series were struck at the New Zealand Mint for the Cook Islands.
This series is dedicated to four of the brightest representatives of the legendary era of the Silver Age.
Marina Tsvetaeva, Anna Akhmatova, Alexander Blok and Boris Pasternak.
The Silver Age ... This era of the flourishing of spiritual culture, a little more than a quarter of a century long, stretches between the time of Alexander III and the twenties of the XX century. The name "Silver Age" is given by analogy with the "Golden Age" (first third of the 19th century) - the time of Pushkin and the poets of the Pushkin era.
The 2 New Zealand dollar coins are made of 999 silver.
