• Few people can be surprised with this famous soup of Russian cuisine. But there are also some peculiarities. In particular, you can cook pickle with rice and mashed potatoes.
You will need: broth (meat, chicken or vegetable) - 1.5 l; boiled rice - 1 cup; carrots - 1 medium; celery root - 1/4 pcs; garlic - 2 cloves; onion - 1 pc; potatoes - 3 pcs; pickled cucumber - 2-3 pcs; Bay leaf; peppercorns; salt to taste, parsley
Preparation:
Bring the broth to a boil and place the coarsely chopped potatoes in a saucepan. Cook until tender.
Saute until golden brown onion, carrot, celery root and garlic grated on a coarse grater. Finally, add the grated pickles. Pour in a little broth and simmer until vegetables are tender.
Remove the boiled potatoes from the broth and mash them in mashed potatoes. Return to broth, stirring.
Also add sauteed vegetables, rice, bay leaves, pepper to the broth. Bring everything to a boil and simmer over low heat for about 10 minutes. Add chopped greens at the end.
When serving, add sour cream.
