I call the salad a family salad because I got the recipe from my mother. It was made in our family on all special occasions. The base of the salad has not changed for more than half a century. But you can diversify it by adding different ingredients. When the first fresh cucumbers appeared (they are now in the store all year round), a green cucumber was added to it and then seasoned with mayonnaise in half with sour cream. On New Year's holidays, a jar of crabs was added to it. And in the fall, an apple added piquancy to the salad.
I can't say for sure by weight:
6 hard boiled eggs
a piece of boiled beef (boil in a little water), about 700 grams
a large bunch of green onions,
a can of green peas,
2-3 boiled potatoes (depending on size),
mayonnaise for dressing
Cut eggs, meat, potatoes and onions into cubes. Add green peas, salt to taste and season with mayonnaise. It's that simple! And the whole secret of a good salad is to cut everything into equal sized pieces. And all the products that make up it must be of good quality.
