The Makarov pistol

Soviet self-loading pistol developed by Soviet designer Nikolai Fedorovich Makarov in 1948. Introduced into service in 1951. It is a personal weapon in the Soviet and post-Soviet armed forces and law enforcement agencies, as well as one of the most massive pistols in the USSR. Due to the simplicity of its device, the reliability of the proposed design and ease of use, PM remained in production for more than half a century. More than 2 million copies of this pistol were produced in the Soviet Union alone. The Makarov pistol is officially considered a premium, along with the TT pistol and the Nagant revolver.
