"The order is awarded to workers and foremen of industry, transport, construction and other branches of material production, collective farmers and agricultural workers, as well as workers in the non-production sphere for selfless and highly productive long-term work at one enterprise, institution, organization, collective farm or state farm. Teachers are also awarded (teachers), educators, masters of industrial training for success in teaching and upbringing of children and adolescents, preparing them for life and work and long-term work in one educational institution. "
This is the only Soviet order awarded for distinction in labor that has a division into degrees.
