Military Order of the USSR. It was awarded to privates and sergeants of the Red Army, and in aviation and persons with the rank of junior lieutenant. It was awarded only for personal merits, military units and formations were not awarded them.
The Order of Glory, by its statute and color of the ribbon, almost completely repeated one of the most revered awards in pre-revolutionary Russia - the St. George Cross.
