The city of Tutaev / Yarros. region / is included in the "Golden Ring" of Russia and is called the "Pearl on the Volga".
The main attraction of Tutaev is the Resurrection Cathedral (1670-1678). The cathedral is very large, solemn and decorated; consists of the church itself, the surrounding galleries, has two elegant porches and a bell tower.
The Resurrection Cathedral was painted by the best Yaroslavl artists in the 1680s. The artel of masters was headed by the outstanding master of fresco painting Dmitry Grigoriev.
