Seychelles
An island nation in East Africa, composed of 115 granite islands and coral atolls, it is located in the western Indian Ocean. Capital: Victoria. Seychelles was officially discovered at the beginning of the 16th century by the second expedition of Vasco da Gama. Until the 17th century, the Seychelles were uninhabited, then they served as a base for filibusters. The islands were named after the French minister Moreau de Séchelle.
