William Powell Frith
English artist William Powell Frith (1819-1909) Victorian painter. His early works were portraits and paintings on historical themes. The paintings of William Powell Frith were mostly complex compositional depicting many significant figures of the Victorian era, their meeting and interaction in public places. He has been called Britain's greatest social scene artist.
