The author is a hereditary Cossack from the village of Umanskaya in the Kuban.
Maybe his paintings will seem somewhat primitive, but how much mood, bright joy, beauty of simple human life are in them. The plots are completely not far-fetched - it was so, it is so and I want to hope that it will be so.
