Savvinsky male skete.
One of the most significant and valuable architectural, spiritual and cultural historical monuments located in the vicinity and in the city of Zvenigorod itself, which in the Moscow region, is undoubtedly the Savvinsky Skete - this is a small monastery. It is located not far from the road leading to the Savvino-Storozhevsky Monastery. It was founded through the efforts of Father Gennady with God's help and material support from the famous local merchant Pavel Grigorievich Tsurikov. The place was chosen as secluded and difficult to access. The slope of the road leading to the hermitage is 50% in places with cliffs at the edges. A very difficult and exciting road.
The skete was built in 1862 on the site of the Savva Storozhevsky cave. A baptismal font and a holy spring are located nearby.
