Not far from Angoulême, in a small village, is the family castle of the La Rochefoucauld family. The ancient noble family produced many famous barons, counts and dukes during the medieval history of France.
The castle is a small structure, restored from the outside and dilapidated from the rear. The former residence of the La Rochefoucauld family was completely restored by the architect in 2010. Around the castle there is a beautiful park that turns into a forest on the west side. In the north and east, the park is surrounded by stone walls, in the south it is divided by a river, the natural boundary of the castle. The castle is now up for sale.
