Kuan-yin princess of charm and goodness

The name of this beautiful Goddess of compassion and mercy means "she who hears all prayers." Kuan Yin is a bodhisattva (enlightened being) of mercy, a compassionate savior, beloved mother and divine mediator, close to the daily affairs of people. Kuan Yin is a Buddhist Madonna whose role in the East is comparable to that of Mother Mary in the West. According to legend, Kuan Yin was about to enter the kingdom of heaven, but stopped at the threshold, hearing the cry of the world and remained to serve the Earth until all beings on the planet attained enlightenment.

It is widely believed that Kuan Yin was incarnated as the third daughter of Miao Chuan Weng of the Shu Dynasty, ruler of the northern Chinese kingdom, who lived around 700 BC. e. According to legend, the girl was determined to devote herself to a religious life and, against the orders of her father and the requests of her friends, refused to marry. In the end, she was allowed to enter the White Bird Convent in Langshu Hsien. Here, on the orders of her father, she was put on the dirtiest jobs, which in no way cooled her ardent love for God.
Enraged by her piety, the emperor ordered his daughter to be executed, but when the sword touched her, it shattered into a thousand pieces. Then her father ordered to hang her, but when her soul left her body and went to hell, it turned it into heaven.
