The Château d'Esclimont is a true gem of Renaissance architecture.
An ancient stone castle of the 16th century, surrounded by a moat, the residence of the famous aristocratic family of La Rochefoucauld, is located near the city of Chartres, south of Paris, 50 km from Orly airport. It was built in 1543 by the Archbishop of Tours and has since served as the residence of aristocrats and politicians. The palace complex with its own park and lake consists of a magnificent castle-palace and buildings of the Watch Tower, Trianon and the House of Hunting Trophies. The main building features luxurious, classic palace interiors and stately reception rooms with views of the park. The gastronomic restaurant La Rochefoucauld offers exquisite French cuisine to the guests of the castle.
