A natural phenomenon known as lenticular clouds form at high altitudes, such as above mountains. Similar to flying saucers, clouds form when air temperatures drop and moisture droplets are pushed up the steep slope of strong winds. Due to the strange shape of the clouds, they are often mistaken for UFOs.
