Frostflower is the name commonly given to a phenomenon where thin layers of ice are extruded from the long stems of plants to form a formation very much like a flower. This phenomenon can be observed in autumn or early winter, but this phenomenon is very rare.
In addition to flowers, this phenomenon can form bizarre ice ribbons similar to moss, needles and other formations.
