Gevry-Chambertin - an 11th century castle equipped with a winery, has long been part of the monastery abbey of Cluny. In the spring of 2012, the fortress was purchased by a Chinese investor for € 8 million. These are the wines produced here: Chambertin - full wine, with pronounced tannins, tones of black berries and coffee. Clos de Beze is delicate, thoroughbred, complex, one of the best reds in the world. Chapelle-Chambertin - "Chapel" - a feminine, light wine with a plum tone. Charmes-Chambertin - thin, Maroyeres-Chambertin - closed, full. Griotte-Chambertin - light tannins, gentle acidity, mysterious and harmonious wine. Mazis-Chambertin - rich in tannins, with developed berry tones of cherry. Ruchottes-Chambertin - mineral, tart, requiring long aging with raspberry aromas, deep taste with pleasant sourness.
