Wedge Antilles

Wedge Antilles is a man from Corellia who became a legendary fighter pilot. Born in 21 BBY, he was orphaned as a teenager and joined the rebels. Antilles fought at the Battle of Yavin, contributing to the destruction of the Death Star, a major success for the Alliance. Antilles later teamed with Luke Skywalker to create an elite fighter squadron known as Rogue Squadron. Antilles fought in the Battle of Endor, in which the Alliance dealt a crushing blow to the Empire thanks to the death of Emperor Palpatine.
Antilles served the New Republic, fighting heroically against the Remnants of the Empire, particularly Ysanne Isard and Zsinj. In his search for the remaining leaders of the Empire to destroy them, he created a secret task force - the Ghost Squadron, which provided invaluable assistance to the Republic. At this time, Antilles married Yella Wessiri, who bore him two children: Sial and Miri. Following the end of the Galactic Civil War in 19 ABY, Antilles retired as a hero.
However, he returned to fight the Yuuzhan Vong when the invaders threatened to destroy the New Republic and take over the galaxy. Fighting the dire Yuuzhan Vong War, Antilles helped the New Republic win, despite the devastating consequences for the galaxy. The New Republic was reformed into the Galactic Alliance. In 40 ABY, when the Second Galactic Civil War erupted, Antilles began to fight on Corellia's side. He later changed his preferences, joining Luke Skywalker and his Jedi Order.
