Kazakhstan
Lake Kaindy is a sunken forest in Kazakhstan.
An extraordinary mountain lake. The highlight is that spruce trunks peep out of the water. Around 1911, during an earthquake, a landslide occurred here, which formed a natural dam, the gorge was filled with water that flooded the natural forest. The tops of the fir trees sticking out from the surface of the lake resemble lifeless spaces of burnt lands. But under the turquoise color of the water, you can find perfectly preserved branches and needles.
