Qingming Festival on the Bianhe River (3)

The apotheosis of the scroll is the Rainbow Bridge (Hongqiao 红桥 区).

The strong current of the canal swept away the barge (center right), and dozens of people walking along the humpbacked Rainbow Bridge are lined up at the handrails and cheering the sailors on the barge with shouts.
On the bridge, another potentially emergency unfolds: a pair of horse-drawn horses (a sign of very high status) and a beautiful palanquin with a bunch of servants converged in a narrow passage to meet.
On the bridge, there are many stalls with dried fruits, medicines and all kinds of food to attract the attention of pedestrians who went out to celebrate the Spring Festival. The restaurants (bottom right) serve alcohol to travelers. In the lower part, along the edge of the scroll, a couple of workers (seen by their clothes and their wear) put baskets on the ground, right in front of an umbrella with the inscription "to drink"
There are two merchants on the bridge, inviting the same buyer.
At all 4 corners of the bridge, you can see the structure - an analogue of a road sign.
This sign must be visible from afar and it denotes a bridge. At night, lanterns were raised on the upper rungs.

Next, we see weighted bottom houseboats moored along the Bian Canal, while barges laden with goods pull along the canal along its banks. The canal was the main route for the delivery of goods and food to the city. On the left, on the roof of one of the floating houses, two people are sitting and talking.
