Grafenegg Castle is located 14 kilometers from the town of Krems-Land in Lower Austria. Its construction began in the 16th century, and in 1622 the building was rebuilt, it was during this period that many of its buildings appeared. However, it owes its excellent romantic appearance to the works that were carried out here on the initiative of Count August Ferdinand in the second half of the 19th century. After World War II, the building was opened to the public. From a distance, the castle looks like a magnificent decoration, a toy, but up close it looks like a real residential residence, in which, in fact, an Austrian family lives - the descendants of August Ferdinand. Nowadays, Grafeneg Castle is most often associated with the Austrian Music Festival, which takes place in the beautiful garden of the palace complex. This festival, accompanied by concerts and exhibitions, walks in a wonderful park and, of course, an interesting castle, is considered one of the largest international classical music festivals.
