The most touching scene took place in the House of Invalids, where the ashes of Emperor Napoleon I, recently brought from the island of St. Helena, rested. When the queen appeared at the House of Invalids, it suddenly began to rain heavily and thunder thundered. Everyone present was amazed at this coincidence. The Queen ordered the Prince of Wales to kneel in front of Napoleon Bonaparte's coffin, and when the boy bowed his head before the ashes of England's once most powerful enemy, the Queen became deeply moved and almost cried to the sound of the "God Save the Queen" hymn. Tears appeared even in the eyes of the famous French generals.
