Queen Victoria at the Royal Palace Saint-Claude.
Here, apartments have already been prepared for the guests, and all the rooms have been repainted in white and gold. Even the legs of the table, at which Queen Marie Antoinette was still sitting, were cut to make it easier for the Queen of England to sit at it. The walls of the room were decorated with tapestries, and under the balcony in the royal garden, numerous fountains gurgled merrily.
