Balstein town

Balstein is located on the Moselle River. This tiny town of winemakers is called "Sleeping Beauty on the Moselle" because time seems to have stopped here. Amazingly, Beilstein has preserved its charming medieval appearance to this day. Now the whole city is protected as a monument of antiquity. Half-timbered houses, sandwiched between the Moselle and the vineyard-covered mountains, rise in terraces up the slopes. And all of this is dominated by the ruins of the once impregnable imperial fortress of Beilstein
