Tony Wolfe is the pseudonym of the famous Italian illustrator Antonio Lupatelli, who has created hundreds of gorgeous illustrations for children's books. Lupatelli works in a wide variety of fields, from animation and comics to luxury playing card designs.

Antonio Lupatelli was born in 1930 in Busseto, a small town near Parma.
He first became famous for his work as an animator at Payot Film studio (France). In parallel, Lupatelli created drawings for the British publishing house Fleetway. These were stories in pictures - a series of comics for the little ones: "Freddie the Frog", "Jack and Jill", "Adventures in Toyland".

In 1961, a long period of cooperation with the Italian publishing house Fratelli Fabbri began in the artist's creative life. Lupatelli illustrated school textbooks and publications for children. At the same time, the name Tony Wolf was first heard. Since 1978, Lupatelli signs illustrations for children's books with this pseudonym.

In 1980, Lupatelli created a series of designs for the famous Italian company Scarabeo, which produces playing cards and tarot. One of the artist's most famous works is the Tarot of the Elves.

In Russia, Lupatelli is known primarily as Tony Wolfe, an illustrator of fairy tales for children.
Wolfe's characters are kind, charming creatures. Forest animals, gnomes and trolls, princesses and dragons are sympathetic to both adults and children. But you can't call Wolfe's drawings "cute" or sugary. Each hero has his own character, his own role.
Wolf's illustrations can be easily recognized by the abundance of funny little things that are so interesting to look at.
