In the North-East of France, on the border with Germany, there is the smallest, but at the same time the most welcoming and friendly and very beautiful region of Alsace. It is amazing and unique, not German or French, this wonderful area of Alsace took a little bit from each of the sides and it turned out to be something special and beautiful. Traveling along the winding roads of Alsace, you will find something interesting and fabulous in every town or village - a magnificent Gothic cathedral or a medieval romantic castle, a Renaissance town hall or a medieval fortress with gloomy "witches' towers", ancient fortress walls guarding flowering cozy streets and the famous " vinshtuby ”- local taverns. And all this is wonderful Alsace. 15 km from Colmar, between vineyards and mountains, there is a very beautiful half-timbered town of Ribeville. In the Middle Ages, the Lords Ribepierre lived here, from them the town got its current name. Unlike small villages, there are several very beautiful squares, one more picturesque than the other, besides, there is still quite a significant cathedral. Ribeville is best known in Alsace for its three castles located on the same mountain and facing the city.
