And again it will retreat, gliding into the distance.

Parisian light plays with shadow
Like a magician in wonderland -
It will blind you with the sun in an instant
Then lightning flashes from heaven.

Then a veil will fly up in the wind
Splashing in rainbow rays ...
That starry twinkling distance
Will sink into darkness again.

Night in Paris ... Together with you
We float along the Seine among the lights ...
