Being an intelligent, kind and sincere young man, the grown heir was able to arouse the trust and love of many influential nobles and, with their help, push the dowager queen's clan away from power. So eighteen-year-old Frederick became regent under his unlucky father and the sole ruler of the state. He was honest, just and merciful, and therefore the first thing he did was abolish serfdom in his country and slavery in its eastern colonies, but he could not be called successful in military affairs even with a stretch, because it was under him that the kingdom lost a number of wars, lost significant territories and almost completely bankrupt.
However, all this happened much later, but for now, twenty-two-year-old Prince Frederick orders from the royal manufactory (which, by the way, was founded by the hated father's stepmother) a luxurious gift for an amazing woman and an enlightened ruler of a huge mysterious country of Russia. We remember that Frederick was a passionate lover of nature, and the Russian empress is a big fan of arts and sciences, and therefore the drawings on the table service were supposed to be copies of the famous botanical multivolume (this edition is a separate incredible story over 120 years long!).
