Sigmaringen Castle, the former main royal residence of the Hohenzollern-Sigmaringen family, is located in the Swabian Alps, in Baden-Württemberg, on a picturesque hill in the town of the same name. Although the history of its founding goes back far into the Middle Ages, in the current castle from the medieval fortress only the towers have survived, since in 1893 it was completely rebuilt after a fire. Today, in this former ancestral home of the Swabian branch of the Hohenzollern royal family, several interesting museums are located, which, along with the majestic architecture of Schloss Sigmaringen, attract many tourists to it. Numerous, richly decorated interiors of the castle will present to the attention of visitors luxurious examples of antiques: exquisite furniture, German porcelain, unique tapestries. The walls of the castle are decorated with works of masters of painting, and its halls are decorated with beautiful sculptures and figurines.
