Aranjuez Gardens - Jardines de Aranjuez.
Not far from Madrid is the small town of Aranjuez. It is there, in a quiet corner of the southern part of Madrid, that the Royal Palace of Aranjuez and its fabulous gardens are located. Once, thanks to King Philip II, namely in the 15th century, this place became the summer residence of the Spanish kings. A magnificent palace was erected here and three gardens were laid out: the Prince's Garden, the Garden of the Islands and the Garden of Isabella II, which eventually turned into the famous Aranjuez Garden, and now delights its visitors. It is not surprising that this particular place inspired the famous composer Joaquín Rodrigo to write his "Aranjuez Concerto" for guitar, which made him and the gardens famous, and Llardo artists to embody it in porcelain fragility.
