The village of Krasnoe is the once rich estate of the Poltoratskys, close friends of A.S. Pushkin. The Transfiguration Church, built by the Poltoratskys in their estate in 1790, is an author's repetition of the famous church of the Chesme Palace (1777-1780), erected by the project of the famous Russian architect Yu.M. Felten near St. Petersburg
