Waterfalls of the Snake River

A small river located in the vicinity of the village of Izmailovka (Khostinsky district of Sochi), a tributary of the Matsesta river. It flows along the slope of the mountain of the same name, forming five waterfalls of different heights. Until the time of excursion development, the mountain was called the Snake, and the river for its unpredictable and insidious nature was called Wild. The waterfalls, which arose due to the difference in height and the ledges of the mountain, were called Zmeikovsky in honor of her. Gradually, the name of the Snake stuck behind the river.
