Arakul Shikhany - a granite rock massif of the Middle Urals, the southernmost and highest (over 40 meters). Located in the Chelyabinsk region, near the town of Verkhniy Ufaley. Nearby in the intermontane depression is the Arakul lake.
One of the many mysteries of the Arakul Shikhan are round stone bowls of various diameters and depths, carved into granite along the entire length of the ridge. The smallest bowl is only a few tens of centimeters in diameter and the same in depth, the largest is one and a half meters in diameter and 70 centimeters in depth. Scientists still cannot give an unambiguous answer to the question: how did they appear and what were they intended for?
