Grand Admiral Thrawn

Mitt'rau'nuruodo, or Thrawn for short, is a character in the expanded Star Wars universe, Grand Admiral of the Empire's fleet.
Thrawn was not only a brilliant general, but also had a shrewd mind. Thrawn's vast knowledge and intelligence, combined with excellent tactics, has made Thrawn one of the galaxy's finest commanders. Thrawn's clever use of intelligence enabled him to win countless victories over superior forces. Thrawn believed that the psychology and limits of an opponent's capabilities could be understood by studying his art and thus discovering vulnerabilities that could then be exploited. Very often this belief was justified, since knowledge and obsession with analytical studies of art led to almost perfect strategic victories over the enemy.
Invented by Timothy Zahn in 1991 and first appeared in his books from the so-called "The Thrawn Trilogy" ("Heir to the Empire", "Darkness Revival" and "Last Command"). The colorful Grand Admiral quickly became one of the favorite characters for Star Wars fans.
