On the outskirts of Copenhagen, there is a castle called Rosenborg. The castle begins its history in 1606 - then a park zone was founded, on the territory of which a small two-story mansion later appeared. Over the next twenty years, the mansion has grown to an incredible size, and from a small "dacha" has turned into a real chic castle.
The main entrance to the castle was completed only in 1634 - its opening was timed to coincide with the wedding of Prince Frederick III with Princess Magdalena Sibylla. From 1838 to the present day, the Royal Museum has been operating in Rosenborg, unique exhibits of which tell about the 300-year history of the Oldenburg royal dynasty.
Rosenborg is surrounded by the magnificent Garden of the Kings. The castle also houses the Royal Treasury, which houses the most precious relics of Rosenborg.
