The stunningly beautiful Sigmaringen Castle is located in the town of the same name in the Swabian part of the German Alps. Sigmaringen is also called the Castle of the Hohenzollers, since the dukes of the Hohenzoller-Sigmaringen family built this beautiful structure and made it their residence. The castle is located on a beautiful picturesque hill, right on the banks of the famous and most beautiful river - Danube. Sigmaringen was built in the Middle Ages, but only a few towers have survived from the old building to this day, because at the end of the 19th century, a strong fire destroyed the castle almost completely. After this violent fire, the castle was simply rebuilt. Sigmaringen Castle today has the status of a museum, which is open to visitors. The halls and rooms of Sigmaringen have completely preserved the chic interiors and the amazingly rich decorations.
