Two amazing girls - Anastasia Volkhovskaya and Yana Fefelova, living one in Dnepropetrovsk, the other in Amsterdam, created a surprisingly touching, magical world of Eliza.
The main heroine of the book - a young girl Eliza - receives letters, the author of which is unknown to her, but knows a lot about her. These are not love letters, but they are full of love. Through them, she tries to make the most important journey in the life of every person - to come home: to God, to love, to herself. Only at the end of the journey will Eliza understand who the mysterious letter writer is.
Letters to Eliza
“There are rivers of misunderstanding between us as long as continents. Sometimes they narrow, and then it seems to me that I’m about to reach you from the other side, but now your face fades, becomes sad, becomes a stranger, and I’ll never shout at you. Therefore, I am writing these letters to you. They are my hope that you will finally hear what I have been telling you for centuries in different languages. Read them with trepidation, like the prayers of sincere believers, like the ringing laughter of childhood, like the golden rustle of autumn leaves, like a multitude of forgiven that fall to the ground unheard. Read them as if each letter is a sigh, as if each word is food for the suffering, as if in each sentence there is light for the lost. And then the continents will become shorter, and the rivers will become narrower and you will cease to be a shape on the opposite bank. Read them as if all the books had died, scattered into millions of sighs, and there was nothing left but these letters of mine to you. "
