Ashford Castle is located in the west of Ireland, on the banks of the Cong River and Lough Corrib. This castle was founded in 1228 and has long belonged to the de Bourg family.
Then, in 1873, after changing a number of owners, he passed into the possession of the Guinness - the world famous Irish dynasty of brewers, thanks to which the castle changed a lot - thousands of trees were planted, gardens were improved, a number of buildings were completed. Now the castle is one of the best hotels in the country (John Lennon, Prince of Monaco Rainier III, British King George V, US President Reagan, Brad Pitt stayed here at one time) and at the same time, the castle remains an independent attraction attracting tourists from all over the world. And this is not surprising - the castle is simply unimaginably beautiful.
