The architectural monuments of Tsaritsyno were created by talented Russian architects - Bazhenov and Kazakov, whose sculptures are shown in the photo.
The composition is based on a dramatic collision: Bazhenov began to build the Grand Palace in Tsaritsyn, but on the orders of Catherine it was demolished and his student Matvey Kazakov was entrusted to build it anew. This is not only a historical and architectural drama, but also a human one. The monument is dedicated to this dramatic moment: Bazhenov retires, and Kazakov takes his place
