In a joyful hour - we were alone together,
There we completely merged together - even though we were together.


There, among the tremor of the herbs, among the birdsong,
We received communion in the immortal spring - we were together!


There, illuminated by the eyes of the shining stars,
We became like the full moon - we were together!


For me, separated, was not there,
For yours was given to me - we were together!


Nightingales cried blood and sang love,
Souls were drowning in heavenly wine - we were together! ..
