White peacock, or Indian peacock (Pavo cristatus Linnaeus 1758) is the most numerous species of peacocks. It is a monotypic species, that is, it is not subdivided into subspecies, but it has a number of color variations (mutations). Domesticated by man.
This species of common peacock lives in the south of India and the island of Sri Lanka, has a brilliant white plumage with various shades and dots on the wings; tail feathers are also completely white with large white spots separating in shade at the ends. The beak and legs of the white peacock are reddish. Birds of this color have a very special charm: blue "eyes" in pure white plumage.
