10 thousand years ago, due to a strong displacement during an earthquake at an altitude of 989 meters above sea level, the largest lake in Transcarpathia, Synevyr, was formed. The lake is located among high mountains and only shaggy spruce trees look into the purest, mirror-like water.
In the middle of the lake there is a small island, hence the popular name - Sea Eye.
