Chartreuse (Cartesian cat) - this breed of shorthaired cats was known in the Middle Ages. The monks brought the animal to France from Africa, so the cat ended up in the Chartreuse monastery, which gave it its second name. Chartreuse has a blue color, uniform, all tones. Today, this animal belongs to a rare breed of cats. Only American and French breeders have been able to keep the Chartreuse breed intact for many years.
Chartreuse practically does not speak, unlike other breeds. Sometimes she can only purr, sometimes emit a thin squeak. Of course, such reticence can be a huge plus, but on the other hand, if a cat gets lost or gets into trouble, it will be difficult to find it. Chartreuse can adapt to almost any situation, will not complain about anything, tolerates long journeys well, easily remains alone.
Chartreuse is very devoted to those he loves. The cat will follow its owner on the heels, comfort him in difficult times, heal during illness. The cat prefers to sleep next to the owner, and maybe on it. Among other things, their devotion is not intrusive, the cat can sit quietly while the owner is busy. Cultural behavior is an instinctive feature of this breed. She remembers being polite to herself and appreciates it. British breeders bred the popular British blue breed, based on the chartreuse.
