Petson and Findus

Sven Nordqvist (1946) is a contemporary Swedish children's writer and illustrator. In 1984, his book "Birthday Cake" was published, the first in a famous series about the old farmer Petson and his wonderful kitten Findus. Subsequently, Nurdqvist invented and published 8 books of this series. Films and cartoons were created based on them, a computer game was written.
In addition to the books about Petson and Findus, Nordqvist is also known as an illustrator and co-author of a series of fairy tales about the adventures of Mama My and her friend Raven by Swedish writers Giugi and Thomas Wislander. In 2003, Nordqvist was awarded the Astrid Lindgren Literary Prize.
Many of Nordqvist's books have been translated into Russian and published in Russia.
