Exotic shorthair cats are relatives of Persian cats. Outwardly, this relationship is noticeable at first glance: a large head, a rounded flattened muzzle, thick, short limbs, large eyes. Exots differ from the Persians only in their wool, it is short, plush to the touch. This breed appeared, one might say, by accident. In the 60s, American breeders decided to cross the American Shorthair cat with the Persian in order to improve the characteristics of the first, but it turned out the opposite. So, the mistake of breeders led to the creation of a new breed, which entered the ten most beautiful and popular cat breeds of the twentieth century.
