Nymphenburg Castle was built in the Baroque style from 1664 to 1674. It is one of the largest buildings in Germany - its length is almost 700 meters. And the interior with many magnificent halls and rooms is even more amazing. First of all, this refers to the White Hall, as if connecting both halves of the palace. At one time, it was used both for receptions of important guests and for balls, since the size and luxury allowed it - a height of two floors, as well as gilded decoration and frescoes by Zimmermann. Another interesting room is the so-called Gallery of Beauties, which contains 24 portraits of the most beautiful contemporaries of King Ludwig I of Bavaria. Also interesting are such rooms as the Chinese study, made in the best oriental traditions, the room where the future Bavarian king Ludwig II was born, and the gallery with the collection ceremonial carriages of the Wittelsbachs. Despite the fact that part of the palace premises was destroyed during the war, the palace in no way lost its color and grace.
