Brodick Castle is a historic gem of Scotland located on the east coast of the Isle of Arran. The whole area around the castle is covered with a country park, surrounded by waterfalls, grottoes and ponds. Brodick Castle was originally built as an impregnable fortress, designed to repel enemy attacks. The land on which the castle stands belonged to the English Duke of Hamilton. Over the centuries, various representatives of this family completed the construction of the castle, so that it was not only a fortress, but also a luxurious house. Brodick Castle was privately owned until 1957, and then it was sold. The collection of porcelain, antique furniture and paintings, which are the property of the property, is of great interest to tourists. The English garden with rodendrons, laid out in 1710, and the luxurious living rooms of the castle give a special charm to this architectural monument.
