Alfrid Shaimardanov was born on January 31, 1961 in the village of Sababash, Sabinsky district of the TASSR. Graduated from the Leningrad Institute of Cinema Engineers. From 1988 to 1991 he worked at the Kazan newsreel studio.
A. Shaimardanov wrote his first work in 1993 and since then has devoted himself entirely to painting. The “naive painting” style, in which the artist works, is quite rare. Today in Tatarstan he is one of the few artists of this direction who adequately represents the Republic of Tatarstan both in Russia and abroad. In 1997, Shaimardanov first represented the Republic of Tatarstan at the World Exhibition of Naive Art in Bratislava (Slovakia). Personal exhibitions were also held in the Central House of Artists (Moscow), in the embassies of Germany, Lithuania, Bulgaria. In June 2001, as part of the transfer of a certificate of membership in the Organization of World Heritage Cities to Kazan, the painting "Potatoes, variety Gorbachev" was donated to UNESCO Deputy Director General M. Bushenaki.
At present, A. Shaimardanov is a member of the Union of Artists of Russia, lives and works in Kazan.
