Rose Adelaide Ducreux is a French artist, daughter of François-Joseph Ducreux. Belongs to a group of women artists who were able to exhibit their work two years after the storming of the Bastille - at the Paris Salon of 1791 and a year after the revolution, when women artists were allowed to show their own paintings at the famous annual exhibition. Known in art circles for her father's surname and self-portrait with harp, which is now in the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York
